Overview

Welcome to the OSS Audio CD Ripper N' ID3V2 Tag Editor
With OSS Audio CD Ripper N' ID3V2 Tag Editor you can do the following: 1-Rip your Audio CD's 2-Write the ripped tracks into the most 4 common audio file types: WAV, MP3, OGG, and WMA. with the capability to change the settings of the output file. 3-Change and set the ID Tag information to the output ripped files.
Main Window
The main window consists of the following items:

You can do all you need in the same simple window.
Toolbar: The buttons from the left to the right: Extract: to extract the selected tracks into the selected format in the selected path.
Refresh CD: to refresh the contents of the Audio CD listed in the main list.
Configure CD Parameters: to show the settings window to change the options of the program.
Help: to show the help window.
Exit: to exit the program.
*.the play buttons that enables you top play the selected track Under the toolbar you find the following: Device: select your audio CD reader if you have more than one.
Speed: select the audio CD reader speed that will play or rip with.
Encoder: select the format of the output ripped files.
Output folder: select the output folder that the ripped tracks will be in.

ID Tag Info:

DISC ID: the disc
ID TOC: table of contents ID.
Title: the title of the ripped track.
Artist: artist of the ripped track.
Year: the year of the ripped track.
Comment: the comment of the output ripped track.
Album: the album of the output ripped track.
Genre: the genre of the output ripped track.

How to play a track
1- Select the track you desire by moving the cursor with blue highlight to the track you want to play and click on the play button at the top of the window.
Note: - You can play one track at a time - Make sure that the CD-ROM audio cable is connected to the aux on the motherboard or sound card How to select a track(s) to rip Check the track(s) you want to rip by checking the "Check box" beside it. Note: You can select as many tracks as you want If you have an audio CD player that auto run when you insert thee audio CD in the drive, Please make sure that you close it before using the audio CD player in the program.

Setting


1. Mp3 setting

You can change the settings and properties of the MP3 encoder that will rip the track.
  • .Encoding options: you can choose either constant bit rate or variable bit rate, if you choose the VBR then you can change the VBR quality from high to low(will lead to larger or smaller file )
  • .Overall Quality: you can choose Studio(better and larger file) or Normal(small file).
  • .Channel Mode: You can choose: Stereo, Joint Stereo, Mono, or Dual Channel.

2. WMA setting
You can change the bit rate and encoding sampling rate. A higher bit rate and encoding sampling rate will lead to a high quality bigger file and a lower value will lead to a low quality smaller file.

3. Ogg setting
You can choose the bit rate or use advanced bit rate settings. a lower bit rate will lead to low quality smaller file and a greater bit rate will lead to a high quality bigger file.
